A-DOR-ABLE!

Have I ever told you how much I love this family??  They are so relaxed and down to earth, and they know how to have fun!  This is the second time I've gotten to photograph this adorable family and we've had a blast every time.  Callie is by far the cutest 4 year old I've ever seen (next to my nephew...can't show favorites :) and Walker is just down right handsome and cute!  The session was mainly for Walker because he just turned one, but I got to get some great photos of the entire family as well!  I have SO many more favorites that I wanted to post, but I didn't want to spoil it for Ruth and Chad.

Spring Plans

At the beginning of the year, I sat down and wrote out some things I wanted to accomplish this year with the business.  One of them was to plan more mini sessions around special holidays (Valentine's Day, Easter, etc)...I quickly found out that Valentine's Day mini sessions are pretty hard to schedule since everyone just got done paying money for Christmas cards, gifts, etc.  So I knew I wanted to plan out an Easter Mini shoot..............

Well....I guess I will need to keep mini shoots on my list of things to add next year.  I've had a few friends and clients ask about an Easter mini shoot and I told them I would get back with them once Valentine's Day was over.  I sat down and looked at my calendar, and I'm afraid the Easter Mini Shoot that I was so excited to plan will not be happening this year :(  I have 6-7 shoots to get done before mid-April and I know I'm going to be exhausted just getting those done.  I really don't want to plan an all day event and then something happen that puts me on bed rest or early delivery and have to cancel on everyone.  My due date is just too close to Easter and I really need to slow down a bit.

So...I'll probably plan a 4th of July mini shoot to celebrate me coming back from maternity leave!  Please leave some comments if you're interested in this.  If not, I'll wait to do mini shoots at Christmas!

Here are the dates that I have open until the end of April:
March 3rd- 10:00, 12:00- Fort Worth Stockyards
April 7th- (I can provide Easter props for this one!)- any openings from 9:00-12:00
**Because of Day Light Savings, I can begin sessions during weekday evenings as well!

Lil' Love Bug

I've been photographing lil' 'L' and her family since before she came into this world.  It's hard to believe that she's already nine months old and the year of photographing this precious girl is coming to an end.  I love, love, LOVE all of my clients, but you grow this special little bond with little kids, especially ones you photograph on a regular basis. This sweet family is so much fun and it makes for a very smooth, easy shoot. We've been setting up shoots every 3 months to capture her growth, and let me tell you, she is one of the easiest kids I've photographed!  Yes...she does better than my own child!

So, take a look at Baby "L" (I can't seem to call her baby anymore...she's getting so big!) and enjoy!

A Change of Plans...

Easter is around the corner!  I can't believe I'm already thinking about what Easter props to use in my pictures in the month of March.  I really want to do an Easter Mini Shoot, but am not sure if I'm going to have time to do it.  We have so much to do before Baby Girl #2 arrives and weekends seem like the only time we can get things done.  I have SEVERAL shoots in the month of April, so I really feel I need to use March to get things done and to get my traveling done. 

Currently, I only have one weekend available in March to shoot.  That will probably change, so keep an eye out on my calendar.  I'm also looking into March 17th, but Matt and I are really wanting to take Lauren somewhere before her sister arrives and things get CA-RAZY!  Because day light savings is in March, I will probably have a few week nights open as well. 

So, please keep an eye out for March photo shoots.  I might not be doing an Easter mini shoot, but I will have props that we can use for your family photo shoot!  Remember, all one hour photo shoots are 20% off if you book before March 31st!  That also includes April shoots if you pay your sitting fee before March 31st!!

Little Man on the Run!

I had the privilege of photographing a precious little man a little over a month ago for his first birthday!  The original plan was to take family pictures for their Holiday card along with his one year pictures, but December decided to give us some nasty rain, keeping me from having hardly any photoshoots!  So, the Adam family became my first shoot of 2012!  It wasn't too cold and I know he had an awesome time running around like crazy all over the botanical gardens!  He definitely gave me a workout that I wasn't expecting!

New Look...New Purpose...

One thing that I've really 'slacked' on with my business is my blog.  I'm not the best at my own personal blog, so I'm really trying hard to keep both up.  I haven't posted anything on this blog in months, but don't think I haven't had any business!  I've had PLENTY that has kept me busier than I thought.  The end of the year is always so hectic with clients who want Christmas cards.  Now that the holidays are over, I can actually sit back and breathe a little.  I do have LOTS of shoots in the next few weeks!  So, keep looking at the blog!  I have two that I'll post this week!

Just a small reminder that I will be on maternity leave starting May 1st.  I really want to rest before Baby Chase comes!

Mommy and Daddy To Be!

Some of our dearest friends, Jared and Elissa, are going to have a baby any week now!   I'm so happy and excited for them!  They've been such great friends to Matt and me, and was a great help with Lauren when she was going through her colic phase by coming over and just being there for us.  I can't wait to meet Baby G and of course, take pictures of their precious little boy!  I was really excited when they asked me to do their maternity pictures. We had a lot of fun at the Stockyards!  Here is a little peek of some of my favorites!
